Rick Steele & Hot Biscuit Band

With his hand crafted boots & Lennonesque glasses, the trademark voice, whiskey
town harp & grand canyon repertoire; he’s the son of a preacher man dubbed Perth’s

grandfather of blues.

Rick has chalked up 75 years on the planet & on the eve of his 10,000th show,
Steele has clocked up four solo albums, nominations for country performer of the
year, an induction into the WA Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and regular national &
international appearances -this man isn’t showing any signs of slowing down,

continuing to tour and perform constantly.

The name ‘Hot Biscuit Band’ was coined from the infamous radio show called “King
Biscuit Time” which ran out of Akansas for twenty four years in the 1920/30’s. The
original HBB was formed in NZ in '77 to support and tour Rick Steele’s original
album.”Take it or leave it.” Steele returned to WA in '80 and keeping the name
formed a new Ozzy lineup. Three albums of original material were recorded,

released & toured through the nineties.

HBB were regulars at the Knights Inn, now the River, when the Inn first opened.

Since 2000 the group has gone separate ways while maintaining a relationship
together & performing reunion gigs each year at the Perth Blues Club, Bridgetown
Blues Festival, and prestigious shows including International supports.

There is talk of a brand new album on the horizon & more WA festival appearances

to come!

With a set of vocal chords to match his name, armed with countless humorous
stories and observations of life, Rick is one of the most charismatic and amiable
characters in the WA music industry & an evening’s entertainment in his own right.

Tickets to be purchased at the door on the night. $20.00 a ticket
